Eligibility

You must be at least 13 years old to create an account or use Lock In. If you are under 18, you should review these Terms with a parent or legal guardian before using the service.

What Lock In does

Lock In helps students organize grades, assignments, missing work, what-if scores, and action plans based on information the user imports or enters.

Not an official school record

Unless we separately agree in writing with a school or district, Lock In is not an official transcript, report card, permanent record, school-issued system, or school/district service. Grades and assignments in Lock In are user-provided or user-managed planning data.

No grade guarantee

Lock In provides grade projections, what-if simulations, and recovery-plan recommendations based on the data you enter and the category weights and late policies you configure. These outputs are estimates only, not guarantees of any academic outcome. Real grades depend on factors outside our visibility — teacher policies, retake and late-work rules, partial credit, rounding, group dynamics, attendance, and your own work. Lock In is not liable for grades received, courses passed or failed, credit awarded, or any decision made in reliance on a projection or recommendation. Use your own judgment, and consult your teacher or counselor when the stakes are high.

No school relationship by default

Using Lock In does not create a contract or data relationship between us and your school, district, teacher, or grading-system provider unless we separately sign a written agreement with that institution.

Your responsibilities

• Use accurate information when creating an account and confirming age eligibility.
• Do not try to bypass the age gate or create an account if you are under 13.
• Do not upload content you do not have the right to use.
• Do not access another user’s information without permission.
• Do not interfere with product security, availability, or access controls.

Suspension and deletion

We may suspend or terminate access and delete data if we reasonably believe an account holder is under 13, has bypassed eligibility rules, has violated these Terms, or creates security, legal, or operational risk.

Privacy

Your use of Lock In is also governed by our Privacy Policy. We do not sell student personal information or use grades, assignments, screenshots, or educational content for targeted advertising.

Changes

We may update these Terms from time to time. If changes materially affect logged-in users, we may require a new acknowledgement in the product.
